GET AHEAD OF THE GAME
A working knowledge of stage combat is essential to any performer's training.

Prepare yourself
Fights happen. A lot. In fact, you're twice as likely to strangle someone onstage as you are to sing
to them. Proper training allows you to focus, freeing you up to give your best performance possible.

Protect yourself
Acting is fun. Fighting is dangerous. You need the proper training to recreate safe and exciting fights
night after night, as well as to spot unsafe situations during the rehearsal process.
Remember, an injured actor is an out-of-work actor.

Promote yourself
As a performer, you take every opportunity to distinguish yourself from the competition. If two equally
talented actors are going up for Romeo, the one with stage combat training will have the upper hand.

Protect your partner
It's just as devastating to cause an accident as it is to be the victim of one. When you train for stage combat,
you're doing the person at the dangerous end a great favor.
